Sean Gallagher


Sean Gallagher is widely recognised as a champion of business and job creation. As an entrepreneur, he is best known as co-founder and former CEO, of Ireland’s largest home technology company, Smarthomes. He has also been an investor on the popular TV programme, Dragon’s Den (Shark Tank in the US) and was a finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in 2006. He is also a Director of a number of other businesses in the Technology, Bio-Tech and Pharmaceutical Engineering sectors.

Sean who previously worked with one of Ireland’s Enterprise Agencies and has served on a number of Irish State Boards including the National Training and Employment Agency (FAS), the North South Trade Body (InterTrade Ireland) and the Drogheda Port Company. He has written for the past 4 years for the Business Section of the Sunday independent, where he profiles leading Irish entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Sean holds an MBA from the University of Ulster.
